Dawn White

Dr. White is a co-founder and President of Accio Energy. Dr. White founded venture backed, Ann Arbor-based Solidica, Inc. where she invented and commercialized the Ultrasonic Consolidation rapid prototyping process as the Form-ation rapid prototyping machine. Dr. White earned a BS and MS in Materials Science and Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Illinois. She has a continuous record of commercial innovation in a range of materials processing fields, including welding and joining science, metal spray forming, intelligent processing of materials and rapid prototyping and tooling. She has published dozens of technical papers, and is a productive inventor, having been awarded 21 US Patents.

David Carmein

David Carmein is co-founder of Accio Energy and is its Design Director. He has 30+ years of experience creating value across multiple organizations by managing teams through the complete arc of development. He founded Virtual Space Devices, a human-computer interface company, and was a member of the founding team of Solidica, where he led the overall product development team. Past posts include Managing Director of Minnesota Virtual Simulations, which focused on applying virtual reality to medical simulations, as well as being a founding member of PUR, later sold to Proctor and Gamble. Mr. Carmein has a BS in Environmental Earth Science from Stanford University and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where he developed a solar-powered furnace as part of his graduate program. He is the holder of ten US Patents as well as three patents pending.

Jeff Basch

Jeff Basch is General Manager of Accio Energy with primary responsibility for commercial business development, financial management, and strategic partnerships. He brings to Accio Energy a rich blend of alternative energy and clean tech experience, business process knowledge, and commercial business development expertise. Mr. Basch was previously Vice President of Business Development for Adaptive Materials Inc, an Ann Arbor based innovator in the development of portable solid oxide fuel cell technology. Mr. Basch joined Adaptive Materials following a 17 year career at General Electric where he was Director of Automotive Business Development. Mr. Basch's key contributions at GE included early work in clean technologies including the creation of the United States’ first automotive post-consumer recycling program for engineering thermoplastics. Mr. Basch is a graduate of University of Massachusetts where he earned a bachelor's in chemical engineering and University of Michigan with an MBA.
